The city's defining landmark is the point where seven streets converge in the middle of the old town. Roads arrive from the old bus stand, the Chennur bus stand area, Palem Papaiah Street (the building materials bazaar), the government hospital road, and several others. The junction marks the boundary between the old bazaar quarter and the newer Madras Road development.
Vijaya Hotel — a popular pure-vegetarian restaurant — occupies a clock-tower building right at the split. The clock tower is the easiest navigation reference in central Cuddapah; ask any rickshaw driver for "Seven Roads" and you will be at the right point in town.
