Atukkad Waterfalls is one of the easier waterfall outings from Munnar, set among steep green slopes and tea-country roads. The falls are most impressive after rain, when the surrounding vegetation looks especially dense and the stream has real force.
The approach can be narrow and slow, so it is best treated as a scenic detour rather than a rushed checklist stop. Go for the valley views as much as the waterfall itself, and be careful on wet paths and rocks.
