Echo Point is one of the standard scenic stops on the road beyond Munnar toward Mattupetty and Top Station. The attraction is simple: a bend of water, green slopes rising around it, and an echo that bounces back from the hills when visitors call across the valley. It is touristy, but the landscape is genuinely pretty.
Go early if you want mist and fewer crowds. Later in the day the roadside stalls, photo stops, and traffic can make it feel more like a fairground than a viewpoint. Treated as a short pause rather than a destination, it adds a pleasant bit of mountain theatre to a Munnar drive.
