Tungarli Lake and Dam is one of Lonavala's gentler escapes, set above town with low hills, water, and a greener mood in the monsoon months. It lacks the drama of the big cave and fort excursions, but it is easy to like when the weather is kind.
Go for a short walk, a view, or a pause between heavier sightseeing stops. As with many Lonavala viewpoints, the experience changes sharply by season; after rain it feels lush, while in the dry months it can be much plainer.
