Visapur Fort stands close to Lohagad Fort, and the two sites are best understood together. Visapur has fewer intact structures than Lohagad, but its ruined walls, hilltop position, and trekking approach make it a worthwhile companion stop for visitors already exploring the Lonavala forts.
The appeal is less about polished monuments than the mix of Maratha-era history, monsoon greenery, and broad views across the hills. Go prepared for uneven paths and changing weather, especially during and just after the rains.
