Elphinston Point

Elphinston Point is one of the viewpoints on the road toward Arthur's Seat, looking over the valleys that cut into the edge of the Mahabaleshwar plateau. It is easy to reach by road and has a large parking area, so it works well as part of a circuit of the northern viewpoints.

The view is best in clear morning weather, before haze builds up over the valleys. It is less dramatic than Arthur's Seat, but the stop is quick and worthwhile if you are already heading that way.
