Kate's Point is one of the standard Mahabaleshwar viewpoints, but it earns the stop when the air is clear. The lookout opens toward Dhom Dam, the Krishna Valley, and a stack of green ridges that feel much wilder than the busy hill-station roads behind you.
It is often combined with nearby Echo Point and Needle Hole Point, so do not expect solitude. Go early, or after the monsoon when the hills are washed green and the light is kinder, and treat it as a short scenic circuit rather than a destination by itself.
