Pulau Cemara Besar

Uninhabited island with white sand and snorkelling

A small uninhabited island about thirty minutes by boat from the main harbour, Cemara Besar has a beach of powdery white sand with no facilities and almost no visitors on most days. The snorkelling in the shallow lagoon is excellent. Arrange a boat charter from the harbour and ask the driver to return at a set time — bring your own water and food, as there is nothing on the island.
