The beaches around Karimunjawa range from the easily reached strips near the main village to near-empty stretches on uninhabited outer islands. The sand is white and fine, the water shallow and clear enough to wade in without worry about what you might step on. Most of the outer island beaches are only reachable by boat, which keeps them quiet even at peak season.
