Tarbiat Street is the central pedestrian artery of downtown Tabriz, lined with clothing shops, perfumeries, bookshops, ice cream parlours, and the occasional cafe. It connects the Grand Bazaar area to the wider commercial district and is one of the busiest places in the city in the evenings.
It's not historic — most of the storefronts are modern — but it is the best place to feel the rhythm of contemporary Tabriz. Come around dusk, sit at one of the cafes with a tea or a faloodeh, and watch the city walk by.
