Restoran Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa

Legendary 24-hour nasi lemak restaurant at the Kampung Baru roundabout, KL's most celebrated late-night Malay institution

Restoran Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa (Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa) is one of the most celebrated Malay restaurants in Kuala Lumpur — a simple open-air place in the heart of Kampung Baru that has been serving nasi lemak around the clock for decades. The dish is the standard version, executed perfectly: fragrant coconut rice wrapped in banana leaf, with sambal, cucumber, hard-boiled egg, anchovies, and roasted peanuts. The sambal is among the best in the city.

The restaurant is especially famous as a late-night destination, when crowds of taxi drivers, office workers finishing late shifts, and anyone else in need of a satisfying midnight meal fill the plastic chairs. It's open 24 hours, every day. From KLCC, the Saloma Link footbridge drops you a five-minute walk from the front door.
