Hpa-an is primarily about the karst landscape and the cave pagodas embedded in it. The main circuit takes in Saddar Cave, Kawgun Cave, Yathaypyan Cave, the floating gardens at Shwe Yin Myaw, the bat caves at Bayin Nyi, and Mount Zwegabin. Bicycles are rented from several guesthouses in town. A tuk-tuk or motorbike taxi is better for covering the longer distances to Saddar Cave and Zwegabin.
