Sudhan Gali

Sudhan Gali is the main scenic attraction of Bagh District, a hill station sitting at around 2,700 metres (roughly 9,000 feet) above sea level. The elevation keeps temperatures cool through the summer months, making it a popular escape for families from the hotter lowlands and for visitors from Islamabad. Pine and deodar forests cover the surrounding ridgelines, and on clear days the views across the Azad Kashmir hills are expansive.

The atmosphere is quiet and unhurried. There are a handful of guesthouses and tea stalls, and walking paths lead through the forest. Road access can be slow on mountain bends, and the route from Bagh town takes roughly an hour by vehicle. Winters bring cold and occasional snow; the hill station effectively closes for much of the season.
