Bagh is a Muslim-majority town and alcohol is not available anywhere in the district. What you will find instead is an active tea culture. Chai — strong, sweet, milky — flows constantly at roadside stalls, in the bazaar, and at the small hotel lobbies around town. Kashmiri green tea (kahwa), brewed with cardamom, cinnamon, and sometimes saffron, is the more traditional local drink and worth seeking out.
Small teashops and hotel cafes are the social spaces of the town. Expect basic seating, instant or loose-leaf tea, and occasionally biscuits or rusks on the side.
