Holy Trinity Church on The Mall is one of the most visible of Murree's colonial-era buildings, a sturdy Victorian stone church that has sat on the main pedestrian street since 1857. The exterior is simple Gothic revival, with a tower that serves as a landmark along The Mall. The interior is modest and the building is unremarkable by British church standards, but its age and location make it worth a brief stop.
The churchyard behind the building contains 19th-century graves, mostly of British soldiers and their families who died in service in the Punjab. The inscriptions are a window into the demographics of the British military presence in the hills — young men in their twenties, women and children who accompanied their husbands and fathers. The church is open to visitors outside service times.
