Nayong Pilipino Clark

Nayong Pilipino Clark is a cultural park within the Clark Freeport Zone that presents the diverse regions and traditions of the Philippines in a single walkable site. The park contains scale replicas of iconic Philippine structures — including a recreation of the Barasoain Church, which hosted the First Philippine Republic's Congress — alongside reconstructed examples of traditional architecture from different ethnolinguistic groups across the archipelago.

Ifugao houses, Muslim structures from Mindanao, and lowland Filipino architecture stand alongside each other in a garden setting. Regular cultural performances and demonstrations of traditional crafts take place on weekends. It is not a replacement for traveling to the actual regions of the Philippines, but as an introduction to the country's cultural complexity — particularly for visitors who will only be passing through Central Luzon — it is genuinely worthwhile.

A story
The original Nayong Pilipino in Manila was demolished to make way for the expansion of Ninoy Aquino International Airport. The Clark version, opened in 2003 within the former American air base, revived the concept and serves as both cultural park and a deliberate act of Filipino nation-building on land that was, until recently, under American jurisdiction.
