Camiguin's beaches are mostly black or grey volcanic sand — the exception is White Island, an offshore sandbar of fine white coral sand. The main swimming beaches are at Agoho and Cabua-an on the north coast. The water is clear and the snorkelling close to shore is good; the reefs around the island, particularly near the Sunken Cemetery and at Jigdup Shoal, are among the best dive sites in the southern Philippines. Most resorts are on the north coast, facing the Bohol Sea.
