Jordan is the small capital of Guimaras and the arrival point for most visitors. The wharf and the surrounding market are the morning's busiest moment, with the first pump-boats from Iloilo unloading commuters, schoolchildren and a fair number of crates of mangoes. The provincial capitol building, market and a handful of cafes are within a short walk.
There is little to detain you for long, but the half-hour after the morning ferries arrive is a good slice of Visayan island life.
