Wat Ming Meuang is a small temple in central Chiang Rai, dedicated to the city's guardian spirit. Its carved and decorated Lanna-style wiharn has a strong northern Thai character with touches that feel close to Lao temple design.
It is not one of Chiang Rai's headline temples, but it is an easy and worthwhile stop while walking through the old city.
