Central Adelaide is flat and walkable — the CBD is only a square mile, ringed entirely by parkland. Free buses (the Connector routes 98A, 98C and 99) loop around the city centre. The Glenelg tram runs from Victoria Square straight to the seaside suburb — the single most enjoyable piece of public transport in the city. Trains head out to the suburbs and up to the Adelaide Hills. Cycling is easy — the riverside path along the Torrens is flat and well signed.
