The Saturday morning Salamanca Market is the shopping event of the week — Tasmanian produce, hardwood crafts, woollens, ceramics, jewellery from local makers, and street food. Outside of Saturdays, Salamanca Place itself stays full of small galleries and design shops. North Hobart's Elizabeth Street has independent bookshops and vintage.
