Cathedral Mountain is one of the dramatic silhouettes along the Overland Track. Its western cliffs drop roughly 700 m toward the Mersey Valley, making it more of a landmark to admire on a long hike than a casual roadside stop. In clear weather it gives the Cradle Mountain area some of its wildest skyline.
