Waterfall Valley is best known to Overland Track walkers, who reach it after leaving the Cradle Mountain end of the route. The landscape opens into alpine moorland with views toward Barn Bluff, and the hut area can feel wonderfully remote after the busier day-walk zones.
This is not a casual day-trip target for most visitors. It belongs to the multi-day walking world, where weather, permits, food, and hut etiquette matter as much as scenery.
