Eating Out

Devonport's eating scene is compact and centres on the pedestrianised section of Rooke Street and the waterfront near the ferry terminal. The coffee culture is strong — Tasmania generally takes its coffee seriously — and the menus lean on local produce: Tasmanian salmon, grass-fed beef, stone fruit from the Huon Valley and the Tamar. Not a dining destination in itself, but a better feed than you might expect from a port town of this size.
