A long-running Shkodër institution housed in an 18th-century Ottoman kulla (fortified tower house), with a private ethnographic museum on the ground floor and a restaurant on the upper floors and terrace garden. The menu is northern Albanian throughout: spit-roasted lamb, baked trout, hand-rolled byrek, and a particularly good tavë kosi (lamb baked under a layer of yoghurt and egg).
The dining room and garden are scattered with antiques, looms, kilims, and old photographs — half restaurant, half folk museum. Service is unhurried; book a table for dinner, especially in summer when the garden fills.
