Ganca's German Lutheran Church was built in 1885 by the German community that settled in the city in the 19th century. The congregation remained active until 1941, when Soviet deportations ended most German life in the region.
The building later became the State Puppet Theatre, a use it still serves today. Even if no performance is on, the exterior is worth a look as part of Ganca's layered religious and colonial history.
