Archaeological Museum

Namur's Archaeological Museum focuses mainly on the Roman period and the older layers of the city. The displays are modest, but they add useful context to a walk through the historic centre, especially if you are interested in how the Sambre and Meuse confluence shaped settlement here.

It is best combined with the belfry, the old streets around the centre, and the citadel rather than treated as a standalone reason to visit Namur.
