The citadel is the single sight that defines Namur, but the old town below has more depth than first appears: a cathedral with one of the great Baroque interiors in Belgium, the Art Deco quarter of Carmes, several good small museums, and a handful of curiosities — a hidden cross marking a king's death, miniature sculptures perched on rooftops, and a giant horse looming over a square.
