Eating Out

Seafood dominates the menus in Dubrovnik. Grilled sea bass (branzin) with garlic, salt, and local olive oil is a staple, and the prawns, mussels, and octopus are reliably good. Most restaurants in the old town serve similar Croatian-Mediterranean fare alongside pizza and pasta. For better value, look slightly outside the walls or in the Lapad and Gruz neighbourhoods, where locals eat.
