The old town is car-free and small enough to walk end to end in fifteen minutes. Outside the walls, local buses run every twenty minutes during the day and connect the old town to Lapad, Gruz, and the surrounding areas. Buy tickets at a newsstand for a small discount over buying from the driver. Taxis are expensive by Croatian standards.
