Ostrava has a tram system, trolley-buses and city buses, all run by DPO. A single ticket bought from machines at stops or in the kiosks works across all three. Trams 1, 2, 4 and 8 cover most of the routes a visitor needs, including connections from Svinov station to the centre and out to Lower Vítkovice.
The centre is walkable but the city is spread out — getting from the centre to Vítkovice, the zoo or Landek takes 15 to 25 minutes by tram. App taxis (Uber, Bolt) work well across the city.
