Founded in 1897, the Ostravar brewery has been making the city's everyday beer ever since. The classic Original is a light, lightly-hopped pale lager you'll see on tap in every Stodolnà bar; the darker Strong and the seasonal Kelt are easier to find at the brewery itself.
Tours run a couple of times a week and end in the tap room. The brewhouse buildings are themselves a piece of Ostrava industrial heritage — late-19th-century brick stacks and copper kettles still in use.
