Central Odense is small enough to walk in 20 minutes from any edge to the cathedral. A modern light rail (Odense Letbane) opened in 2022 and links the centre to the university and the new hospital — useful only if you are visiting one of those. The city buses run regularly but are mostly used by commuters.
The most pleasant way to get around in summer is by bike. Public bike-share is available; cycle lanes are everywhere; and the long riverside path is car-free from end to end.
