Odense's attractions cluster around the old town centre and are easily covered on foot. The Hans Christian Andersen Museum is the headline draw, but the cathedral and the Funen Village are equally worth your time. There are several first-rate small museums — Brandts, Carl Nielsen, Funen's Art Museum, Møntergården, the Danish Railway Museum — and a long, walkable riverside that connects most of the city's parks. The zoo is good for a half-day with children.
