Skagen Odde Nature Centre

This small museum on the northern tip of Jutland deals with sand, water, wind, and light — the four forces that created and continue to shape the Skagen Odde landscape. It's an unexpectedly good exhibit: clear, hands-on, and honest about how dynamic and temporary this whole stretch of coastline is.

The building itself is partly buried in a dune, which gives it an odd interior quality — well lit but slightly subterranean. A good stop before or after the walk to Grenen, particularly if you have children in tow.
