By train
Vejle sits on the main rail corridor between Copenhagen and Aarhus, making it one of the easiest towns in Jutland to reach without a car. Direct intercity trains run frequently in both directions — roughly an hour from Aarhus to the north and just under two hours from Copenhagen via the Great Belt. DSB operates the main services; check dsb.dk for timetables.
Vejle station is a few minutes' walk from the town centre and the waterfront. Several regional lines also branch off here, including services toward Fredericia and Herning, so Vejle works naturally as a hub if you are touring central Jutland.
By car
The E45 motorway — the main north–south spine of Jutland — passes directly through Vejle. Coming from the south (Hamburg, Kolding) take exit 58 or 59; from the north (Aarhus) take exit 58. The Vejle Fjord Bridge carries the E45 over the fjord just east of the town centre. Parking in the town centre is generally available and not expensive.
By bus
Long-distance coaches connect Vejle to other Danish cities and to Germany. The main bus terminal is adjacent to the railway station.
