Pärnu Beach

Long, shallow sandy beach that defines Pärnu's summer season.

Pärnu Beach is the reason the city gets called Estonia's summer capital. The sand is broad, the water is shallow, and the bay warms more quickly than much of the Baltic. In July, the whole city seems to lean toward the beach: families, teenagers, spa guests, cyclists, and evening walkers all end up here.

Do not expect wild scenery. This is a civic beach with changing cabins, playgrounds, cafes, and a resort promenade. That practicality is part of its appeal. It works for swimming, sunbathing, volleyball, or simply watching Estonia relax without trying too hard.
