Levi

Finnish Lapland fell resort known for skiing, snow trails, and Arctic winter activity.

Levi is Finland's big Lapland resort, built around Levitunturi fell in the municipality of Kittilä. It is commercial, busy in season, and not the place to look for untouched wilderness. It is also very good at what it does.

In winter the draw is alpine skiing, cross-country tracks, snowmobile routes, and the kind of organised Arctic activities that let you do a lot in a short northern day. The fell rises right above the resort centre, so even a simple lift ride gives you a taste of the open Lapland landscape.

Summer is quieter but still useful, with biking, hiking, golf under long light, and easy access to the surrounding fells. Levi belongs on World66 as a resort with a strong identity, not as a traditional town.
