Mailly-le-Château is not a nightlife destination. After dinner the village is very quiet. The bar of the auberge is often the only lit window, and even there the conversation tends to wind down by nine. Come for the stillness — the view from the terrace at dusk, a glass of Chablis, and the lights of the canal below.
