Getting Around

Argeles-sur-Mer is small enough that you can walk between the old village, the beach, and the port in about 20 minutes. For trips further afield, there are a few options.

Bus

Local buses run daily throughout the year (except bank holidays) and connect the town to Perpignan and neighbouring villages. A single ride costs about 1.50 euros.

Train d'Argeles-sur-Mer (TAM)

A free shuttle service that operates year-round, including out of season from October through May. Useful for getting between the village, beach, and port without a car.

Bike

Cycling is a good way to explore the flat coastal area and the quieter roads into the foothills. Several places in town rent bikes.

Car

A rental car is handy for day trips to Collioure, Ceret, Perpignan, or into Spain. Parking can be tight in summer, especially near the beach.
