Argeles-sur-Mer has good markets and a scattering of artisan shops. The best finds tend to be at the open-air markets, which run on different schedules through the week and season.
Argeles Village Market
Open year-round on Wednesdays and Saturdays, 07:00 to 13:00, in the centre of town. About 60 local vendors sell produce, cheese, seafood, and other goods -- everything locally made, grown, or caught.
Argeles Plage Shops
Over 100 shops line the beachfront strip. From June to September a traditional market runs on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings (07:00 to 13:00).
Evening Craft Market
From mid-June to mid-September, artisans set up along Argeles Plage every evening from 17:00 to midnight. Around 40 artists display handmade goods -- a good place to find something to take home.
Port Docks Market
Along the waterfront, about 50 stands sell paintings, jewellery, and earthenware. Open June through August on Tuesdays and Fridays, 17:00 to midnight.
Palau del Vidre
A glassblowing workshop where you can watch demonstrations and buy hand-blown pieces. Open daily 09:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 19:00.
