Eze-bord-de-mer

Low-key Côte d'Azur seaside village below Èze, with a pebble beach and direct coastal trains.

Eze-bord-de-mer is the lower, coastal part of the perched village of Eze — a small stretch of shore along the Grande Corniche between Nice and Monaco. Unlike the hilltop village of Eze proper, the seaside version is quiet and low-key, with a pebble beach and direct train access on the scenic Côte d'Azur line.

It's a good base for those who want to combine easy beach access with day trips up to the medieval village above. The train runs frequently between Nice and Monaco, stopping here along the way.

Guide

Getting There

Eze-bord-de-mer has its own station on the scenic coastal rail line between Nice and Menton/Monaco. Trains run frequently — roughly every 20 minutes — making it very easy to reach from Nice (about 20 minutes) or Monaco (around 10 minutes). This is the most practical way to arrive; parking in the village above is non-existent and parking at the shore is limited.

The Grande Corniche road passes above, but there is no direct road access from the village of Eze to Eze-bord-de-mer — the two are connected only by the Chemin de Nietzsche footpath or by driving the longer route via the Moyenne Corniche.
