The David d'Angers Gallery is housed in the former All Saints Abbey, one of Angers' major medieval abbey buildings. Since 1984 it has displayed plaster models, medallions, marble, and bronze works by the sculptor Pierre-Jean David d'Angers.
The setting is a large part of the appeal: sculpture fills the abbey space in a way that makes the collection feel more dramatic than a standard gallery room. It is an easy companion to the nearby Musée des Beaux-Arts and Château d'Angers.
