Place des Vosges is the small historic square at the heart of Epinal. Arcaded houses, cafe terraces, and the nearby basilica make it the easiest place to pause and get your bearings.
It is not grand like Nancy's Place Stanislas, and it does not pretend to be. Its charm is local: a morning coffee, a quick look at the old facades, then a wander down toward the Moselle.
