Things to Do

Waiblingen's appeal is the small, almost intact 17th-century old town, reconstructed after the 1634 fire. The compact circuit of the city wall takes in the Hochwachtturm, the Beinsteiner Tor, and several smaller towers. Inside the walls, the Marktplatz and the Michaelskirche are the obvious anchors.

The town's one major modern cultural draw is the Galerie Stihl on the Rems — a serious contemporary print and drawing gallery endowed by the local chainsaw firm.
