Schaezler Palace

Rococo palace with Dürer, Holbein, and Baroque art

Address Maximilianstrasse 46

The city palace of the banker Liebert von Liebenhofen, built from 1765 to 1770, is one of the most impressive private rococo buildings in Bavaria. The richly decorated Banquet Hall alone is worth the visit. Today the palace houses an important collection of paintings by Durer, Holbein, Cranach, and other Old Masters, as well as the Deutsche Barockgalerie (German Baroque Gallery).
