Lindau's Stadtmuseum is housed in the Cavazzen, an impressive baroque building from 1729. Its collections cover the history of the island town, with changing art exhibitions and a guided-tour collection of mechanical musical instruments.
It is a good indoor stop in the old town, especially if you want more context after seeing Lindau's harbour, churches, and painted civic buildings.
