Nationalpark-Haus Juist

An island nature center explaining the Wadden Sea, dunes, tides, and wildlife around Juist.

Nationalpark-Haus Juist is the island's interpretive center for the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park. Its exhibits explain the tides, mudflats, dunes, salt marshes, and birdlife that make Juist more than a beach resort, giving useful context before a walk across the island or along the foreshore.

The center is especially worthwhile in uncertain weather or before joining a guided mudflat walk. It helps visitors understand why the Wadden Sea is protected, how fragile the island landscape is, and why the rhythm of tides matters so much to everyday life on Juist.
