A small fishing village on the west coast that has grown into a low-key resort without losing its core. Whitewashed houses spill down a single narrow lane to a small fishing harbour; restaurants on the beach grill the local catch on charcoal in the evenings.
Mylos Beach, a beautiful curve of sand and pebbles just to the north of the village, is reached on foot or by water taxi from the harbour. Cars are banned from the village centre, which makes it a pleasanter evening base than Nydri.
