Potos and nearby Pefkari form one of the livelier beach areas on Thassos, with long sand, beach bars, and plenty of summer energy. It is not the island's quietest coast, but it works well if you want swimming by day and music close at hand later on.
Come expecting a popular resort strip rather than solitude. For a quieter beach day, use it as a base and head out early to the south-coast coves.
